The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA might be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed in regards to the substantial number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area each day. The assistance issue produced for intervention activities a superior inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tough to the office to attend to all people who take a sassa status look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to enable the servicing of all clients and increase access status sassa to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
